The lodge is situated within "Hartland Forest Golf Park"  EX39 5RA, which has a river valley and lakes. The lodge has a good position overlooking the lakes, hills and farmland. This secluded peaceful site has lovely walks on its doorstep as it is surrounded by the hundreds of acres of Hartland Forest, a real haven for wildlife, birds and visitors.

Hartland Forest Golf Park is just 1.5 miles off the A39, The Atlantic Highway, and only 5 miles from the historic fishing village of Clovelly, with Bideford and Bude both just 13 miles away.

 Hartland Forest has an 18 hole golf course - green fees apply. Leisure facilities (pool, bowling, tennis etc) are available at nearby Penstowe Manor.

The nearest shop and pub are 2 miles away in the small village of Woolsery (also known/signposted as Woolfardisworthy).

The National Trust's Heritage Coastline has breathtaking views and coastal paths with a mixture of broad sandy beaches and pebble coves. Watersports enthusiasts can choose the waves of Bude or the watersports centre at Tamar Lakes. Several of the nearby towns have regular pannier markets.
