Here are some comments from people who have stayed at the lodge.

C. family, August 2010:

We really enjoyed our week in the lodge, the weather was great which always helps, and in terms of facilities at the lodge we were very happy. The nice touches included the cream tea and milk which was there on our arrival. It was also good to see plenty of towels, and enough loo paper which easliy lasted a family of four for a week!!

From a practical point of view it was also good to see lots of coat hooks, I only mention this because we'd stayed in a cottage the week before, which didn't have any, and it's only when a basic thing like that isn't there that it's missed, and in the lodge we didn't have one moment where we missed anything.

All in all we had a great week, and would recommend the lodge and the area to others.

W. family, July 2010:

This is a great base for exploring the North Devon & Cornish coast line from Ilfracombe to Tintagel, with its rugged coastline and sandy beaches and for the more adventurous good surfing. The site it self is very peaceful and with good views over the lake & forest. The Lodge is very well appointed, clean and very well equiped, very much a home from home, which all went towards an enjoyable stay.

M. family, August 2009:

Three generations of our family stayed at the lodge and there was plenty to amuse all of us, both on and off the site. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, in a peaceful location, and has lovely views. The variety of activities and places to visit nearby was appreciated by all, from the beautiful beaches to the Devon Show and  Big Sheep. A truly memorable holiday.
P.S. We thoroughly recommend the local fish and chip shop too!!

R. family, July 2009:

It never felt crowded, even with six of us staying in the lodge and it was great that the kitchen had everything we needed. We all had a real break as it was lovely and quiet for those who wanted to read and sunbathe, and plenty to occupy the youngsters safely. We will definitely be visiting again!

This is a lovely place to get away from it all, to watch the deer and the birds. There are so many stunning coastal walks, I will have to go back again! The lodge was warm and cosy to return to, even in the winter.
